Bonjour pouvez vous m'aider svp merci. Being a slave on a Southern cotton plantation in America. In America, on a Southern cotton plantation, slaves had to work ten or more hours from sunrise to sunset six days a week with only Sundays off. They had to work without breaks. At planting and harvesting time, they had to stay in the fields 16 hours a day. During harvest, they had to pick a certain amount of cotton each day otherwise they were punished. At the end of the day, they had to line up and wait for the weighing of their cotton. After that, some of them had to clean the cotton, separate the fibers from the seeds using a cotton gin. In addition to their work in the fields, slaves women had to carry out the duties of servants. They had to clean the house, do the laundry, cook and babysit the master's children. Children as young as three or four were put to work. They had to weed fields, carry drinking water, pick up trash, feed chickens and the livestock. Between the age of seven and twelve, the children were put to intensive work on the fields. Many slaves had to share their single-room cabin with relatives or unrelated slaves. They had to live in very cramped conditions with sometimes as many as ten people sharing a hut. They didn't have any privacy. They had to obey and respect the master. They weren't allowed to express themselves and they couldn't rebel, otherwise they were beaten sometimes to death They were not allowed to learn how to read or write. They couldn't speak their own languages or use their real names. Exercice a un rapport avec les photos de la question posée avant
