Bonjour,
Corriger moi les fautes ! svpp

Hello , How are you ?
My name is Laure. Let's talk about Lewis and Clark
In 1803, President Jefferson bought the Louisiana Territory from the French. He asked his secretary Lewis to create an exploration in this new place. Lewis accepted and his friend Clark joined the mission.
In 1804, the expedition began. The explorers had to find a passage in the territory. They had to explore and observe unknown things and they had to take notes. They explored also the fauna and flora.
This mission was very frightening. The members didn't know the territory, it was unknown. In my opinion, the explorers were courageous and determined. They put their lives at risk that is to say :
They rode a boat on the Mississippi River then they crossed the Mississippi.
They discovered the Rocky Mountains and they walked through the great plains
Finally they arrived in the Pacific Ocean.
It was the first official mission in an unknown place.

Now about the white man, indians , Lewis and Clark.

First of all, Lewis and Clark arrived on the Indians.
They met the Indians and they made friends with them.
They made a pact, a peace treaty but the white men they didn't respect the pact.
Then, Nez Perce let them pass throught their territory. The white men found the gold and they wanted the territory

The Nez Perce had to leave their land. The white men made war with the Indians.
I assume the Indians were loyal, welcoming, honest but they were weak.
On the contrary the white men were greedy and unfaithful. On top of that, they betrayed the Indians.

In 1877, there was the war and the Indians surrendered because they were very cold.
Indeed they didn' have any food and blankets.
So they suffered from cold and hunger. The Indians were desperate ad devastated.

I suppose it was very difficult time for the Indians.
