Currently a second-year student in Foreign Languages Applied to international trade in the *** of ****, I am very interested in making an exchange in one of your country’s universities for several reasons .
First of all, to have the chance to study in the United States for a few months, or, even better, a full year, would represent for me a great opportunity to discover the birthplace of the world economy and to learn more about it, given that trade and economy are two of the topics I am most interested in.
On top of that, your country is home to some of the most prestigious universities in the world, what is, to my mind, reflective of the general quality of higher education in the United States. That is why I would enjoy to discover what the classes look like, it would be very enriching to learn things we do not learn in our country, or from a different perspective.
Concerning my grades, I have always tried to obtain the best results possible since my first year in this university, through the lens of, perhaps, to have the chance to study in an american university for a few time. The idea of being into a new environnement to pursue my studies is a real motivation, especially as I realize more and more that the best way to master a language is to go abroad and to communicate with the largest number of people possible : the teachers, the students, not to mention the inhabitants.
My advantage is that I already have the american accent, one of my teacher says, so it would be quite easy for me to understand people, and to make myself understood. I am pretty sure I would almost feel like an american among the americans.
I am a very serious and working person, and I would do all my best to succeed in my studies abroad.
