The whole scene takes place in the middle of nowhere next to the mountains. A family, both parents and their children are camping in open fields (à la belle étoile).
Suddenly the boy , in the middle of the night, yells calling his dad, as if he had made a nightmare .
Mum and Dad, scary something might happen to their children, run straight to their camping tent , just to realize that the only problem is that the boy has no more signal on his cell phone. They are just stunned when they realize what's happening.
The cartoonist wants to show us how young boys or girls can be addicted to their mobile, even in the middle of the night,on a weekend camping in the nature. They just can't do without it.
The cartoon is quite funny but also frightening, because it really shows the addiction at an early age to technology. Instead of enjoying their weekend with their parents, the children are feeling bad because they don't have any more connection.
