On Wednesday, I was drinking a coffee with my girlfriend Lucy Stampton outside the Starbuck coffee on Barton Street. It was four to five, I remember that because I watched the time on my phone.
Suddenly a biker appeared from nowhere. He was wearing a blue jeans, a red tee-shirt and a black helmet He was riding so fast really too fast. I shouted on him that pavements are for pedestrians (piètons) but he didn’t give a damn! ( il s’en fichait)
I have seen a mother who was running after her young son aged of five I guess. I remember she was shouting on him to wait for her. They were coming on my way and the street was quite crowded. The man on his white bike was shouting “ Watch out! Watch out!” to make pedestrians moved. It was around four pm, when the crazy biker ran into the young boy. The speed he was biking , he could not avoid the kid. I saw the kid flying in the air and felling on he ground . His mother shouted. The guy tried to escape but some people surrounded him quickly when another one was calling the police. I came in a hurry, and I said to wait for the rescue. The kid was crying, he was bleeding on his face and his left leg hurt him so much. I was sure, that crazy guy on his bike riding like that he was going to make an accident. I was right. And the worst officer, he didn’t try to slow down! Happily , the rescue came quickly fifteen minutes later.
