Dear family,
I miss you so much. I have for you, who stayed in Syria, lots of great news. First of all, i'm not illegal, here in the USA any more. I got my papers two weeks ago. I am not, trying to find a job. I went to lots of interviews but when I tell people I come from Syria they all get afraid I could be a terrorist. the best I've found till now is a job in a kebab restaurant. But better than that, now I can afford to pay a little apartment in the center of New York. From there you the Liberty Statue. It's my favorite monument here. If it was real, I think it would be the strongest person in the world. The fact that I look at it when ever I wake up, gives me force to continue my journey here without you. The way from Syria till New York was pretty long. I left Syria on a boat with more than 30 people on board. Then, I stayed in Portugal for 5 months were I got a job in a hotel. I saved money just to pay a trip to New York. I also went to the Ellis Islands here in NY. I found it pretty special but the majority of the people say that it's a normal place.I miss you so much.
