In wintertime I used to
walk home in the dark. As soon as I got
home I turned on all the lights in the apartment because I didn't like being by myself in
the apartment. Pending My Mom’s return I started doing my homework. All at once
the lights went out. Fear overcame me and I was
shaking all over. Gropingly I tried to turn on
the light in my bedroom. No light. My room remained in the dark. By turning my
head towards the shade of my window I realized that all the city was blacked
out. I could not stop crying and could hardly breath; and I cannot tell how much
I was looking forward to my Mom’s return. It took ages for me and I was frightened
to death. then, after a long moment everything flared up again, my room, the
apartment and the city. At the same
moment Mom arrived. I jumped into her arms and I told her what happened.
