Sagot :
Just un petit mot j'ai rajouté une phrase tout à la fin.
Today, I'm going to speak about the notion space and exchanges.
First of all, I have to define the notion.
So, I can say that the notion deals with the geographical and symbolic areas that all society occupy and also all the interactions between men/women and different groups in many ways.
The notion can be associated to the theme related to the American Dream.
So we can wonder; and raise this concern. Is the American Dream still alive?
> To illustrate the notion, I have 4 documents.
The first document is a text who explains what the American Dream means. We can see that the American Dream is to make a dream come true. Dreams expected from Asian, Mexican, Irish (Ellis Island) and European immigrants including refugees.
The immigrants flee their home countries from war, from poverty, religious persecutions, or dictatorship.
The second document is a photography of a migrant family who puts its past behind and their home hardships.
We can see a little boy pointing at the statue of Liberty which is the symbol of their expectations.
The third document is a photography again which shows immigrants’ identity control.
The scene takes place at Ellis Island between 1892 and 1894.
17 million people came through Ellis Island and these immigrants are ancestors of 100 million Americans.
The idea of the 3 documents are to show that the American Dream is difficult to access when we are immigrants.
The last document is an article from a blog by the writter of a book entitled "Brotherhood".
The title emphasizes the link among immigration problems in America. They come for different reasons including education and they all wanted a better future/life.
> I have the feeling that the American Dream is difficult to reach when coming from another country. To conclude their 4 documents, integrate the notion of space and exchanges because America exchanges with other countries to give immigrants the chance to live a better world. But we should not forget that the USA is a melting pot of races and cultures.
