I will tell you precisely about this object dorothy’s ruby slippers, Exposed to the museum since 1979.
It was actress Judy Garland who carried them in the American film Wizard of Oz by Victor Fleming released in 1939,.
For those of you who don’t know the story I’ll give you fast summary.
Dorothy lived in Kensas with her aunt. One day, a tornado took her home to the wonderful land of Oz. She will meet on her way a scarecrow who has no brain, a lumberjack who has no heart and a fearful lion. Dorothy had gone to see the magician who could take her home but the magician will not help her. It is the nice witch from the south who will inform her that thanks to her silver shoes she will be able to return to Kensas. this is one of the stories that marked our childhoods.
As you can see these shoes are damaged , so she need to be repaired because they lose their glitter over the years.
These shoes show the world of American cinema which is finally very powerful because everyone has already seen this cartoon, because in 2009 The Wizard of Oz is considered the film that has been the most seen in the world.
