Used to est un verbe qui ne sert qu'à parler du passé donc soit il y a -ed dans une phrase affirmative, soit il faut utiliser l'auxiliaire did pour les phrases interrogative et négative.
1).
Did they use to live in a small house?
We used to have a big dog.
He didn't use to be very tall.
I used to live in London.
2) Au pretérit :
• soit le verbe est régulier : il faut rajouter -ed
• soit le verbe est irrégulier : il faut apprendre les verbes
a. Last week, Joan watched a film at the cinema.
b.Yesterday, Fred washed his car.
c. Last month, he painted a beautifukmk landscape.
d. My grand-parents were Irish.
e. Last month, they visited London
f. Yesterday, she was sad.
