Before the meeting (act I, sc. 1- Act I, sc. 4) - the scene is in Verona, where Montaigu et Capulet families do not stop being in confrontation. Roméo (Montaigu) confides to his cousin Benvolio and to its friend Mercutio his love for Rosaline (Capulet). Meanwhile, Paris asks to the leader of the clan Capulet for the hand of his daughter Juliette. Capulet organizes a big party at his home so that his daughter meets her pretender there. Roméo decides to go there, masked, with Mercutio and Benvolio.
Of love at first sight in the wedding (act I, sc. 5- Act II). - Roméo meets Juliette. Mutual love at first sight. Roméo, not being able to resolve to go away, hides in the orchard of Capulet, and hears Juliette to confide his love in the night. Maintenance passionate about both lovers. From early morning, Roméo goes to brother's Laurent's, who agrees to unite the young couple to reconcile their families; and in the afternoon, Juliette joins her beloved in produce you that he fixed to him to marry him.
Wedding in the separation (act III). - Mercutio meets Tybalt, belligerent cousin of Juliette; both men pull the sword. The final union (acts IV and V). - Brother Laurent develops a plan to help the lovers. He confides a narcotic to Juliette who will make her be thought of as dead woman; meanwhile, Roméo, warned by himself, will come back from Mantua to kidnap his wife. Juliette announces to his father that she grants to marry Paris: Capulet decides immediately to move forward the marriage of 24 hours. Thus Juliette drinks the narcotic and is buried in the family vault. - In Mantua, the servant of Roméo, ignoring everything of brother Laurent's plan, announces him Juliette's death. Roméo, resolved to join his beloved in the death, gets himself some poison and returns in Verona. Brother Laurent learns too late that his message never reached Roméo. He rushes in the cemetery, but arrives too late: Roméo, having killed Paris which surprised him with the vault, has already drunk the poison. Juliette wakes up, discovers the body of her beloved and stabs. Capulet and Montaigu becomes reconciled in a common mourning
