City clusters have an impact on this situation ; they alter the quality of water because industrialists have rejected pollutions. The domestic consumption is also important in these areas. This situation driving a wedge because it cause an inequality between city clusters and areas with a difficult access at the potable water. The fast economic growth provoque many mess on the quality of water. China's government must have intervened with industrialists in order to control sevelry the rejects of factories. Thanks to governement controls, 91% of water could be treat. But, the water is really worrying for China because seven of their rivers near of city clusters are severly polluted. Scientists should be analysis about the environmental problems. These analysis was based on a chemical oxygen supply, ammoniac and volatile phenols and, of course, scientists take care the possibilities of endocrine system attacks. China wants to pay attention on that because these analyses allowed to known the water is undrinkable where the rivers crossing the city clusters because they are graduate at " Grade 5", while a drinkable river should be graduate at " grade 3" at most. The major rivers like Yangtze and Pearls river are watching by the China's autorities because their water is very important for the country ; it is drinkable for the population, it can irrigate agricultural land... Lakes are also places impacted by the expansion of city clusters. Indeed, many people wants to living near to lakes with water potable. But in reality, this ressources will be draw water and use quickly. The situation in the Taihu Lake in China illustrate these words in the 2000's during the development of city cluster. Localisated near to Shangai and ohters cities in urban extension, quality of water in this lake was deteriorate and became unfit for human consumption because it is graduate at " grade 5". Thanks to analysis of scientists, we can see degradation of lake water was binding to the domestic overconsumption. This environmental problem caused a water shortage. So, this exemple show to all people the necessity of water severly control by China's government for reduce the risks of pollution.


Moreover, the quality of the air in China is a real problem. In fact, the analysis of China's government on 360 cities in 2004 proved that quality of air is alter because 70% of urban areas don't respect national norms of quality of the air. 75% inhabitant was exposed at these conditions.
The pollution of the air is linking to utilisation of some energies ressources. Indeed, China used many coal. It is primary energy for many activites ; factories, domestic utilisation... These utilisations explain the sulfur dioxide presence in the air. Morevover, more the cities expand, more the cars are used. They have an impact about the quality of the air in urban areas. The problem of quality of the air can provoque many illnesses in particulary in Beijing, Shangai and Guangzhou because they are big places which highest levels of airbone particulate matter. Indeed, thanks to analyses the scientist can show to the inhabitants of China the levels of pollution in the air are desastrous because they increase of 12% in twenty years. The pollution is visible for the persons because there are many phenomenons of " gray sky" which worries. This highest pollution in the world is very rare. In our days, many efforts are put in forward by the China's government for reduce the emission of greenhouses and ameliorate the living condition of people. The China's government wants to reduce the coal consumption. For that, it put in place a low suffer coal, a fuel gas desulfurization. But theses mesure are insufficient to reduce the emission of greenhouses in the city clusters. Finally, to have a better future China decides to implant renewables ressources consumption in the country by 2020. These efforts are approved by the World Bank and the Global Environment Facility because they finance the China's projects. Also, China wants to put in forward their qualities in technology for a better economy more respective of the environment. Indeed, they want reuse the industrial and agricultural waste material.

To conclude, we can urderstand the city clusters where the economy and attractavity is highest, there are an environmental problems. The increasing quickly of city clusters explain this complicate situation.
