1- When he was at school, he ( learn ) the English language.

3- When I was young, my grandparents ( make ) a wonderful cake for my 10th birthday.
4- He told me he ( run ) in the park the day before.
5- I immediately recognized Mrs Johnson after all these years . She ( not change ) a lot.
6- The house was very quiet when I got home. Everybody ( go ) to bed.
7- I remembered I ( meet ) them 2 years before.
8- I was very happy to see her after such a long time. I ( not see ) her for five years.
9- Mr Smith was no longer alive. He ( die ).
