I pick the character in the left. I think the character in the left is a grandpa and the right character is his grandson. I would imagine that the grandpa lives in another country retired from work and lives his happy life, but because of his age it is hard for him to take the plane for a far destination, so it is rare for him to go visit his grandson. However, it looks like his grandson is graduating ! So, he traveled to surprise him on the day of his graduation ! The captured the moment by this happy picture !
