Quelqu'un peut m'écrire une biographie de Rosa Parks en Anglais s'il vous plait

Sagot :

Rosa Louise McCauley Parks (February 4, 1913 – October 24, 2005) was an African-American civil rights activist, whom the United States Congress called "the first lady of civil rights" and "the mother of the freedom movement".Her birthday, February 4, and the day she was arrested, December 1, have both become Rosa Parks Day, commemorated in the U.S. states of California and Ohio.
A la suite de ce qu'a écrit  Rrater,
In the 1950's, the American South was segregated: black people couldn't go to white schools, restaurants or cinemas.Blacks and Whites had separate public toilets and water fountains, and separate sections on buses and trains.Black people had to sit in the back of the bus. If white people didn't have enought seats, they could take black seats! In 1955, a woman named Rosa Parks decided it was time to change all that.On 1 December, 1955, Rosa Parks got on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama after a day's work. She sat in a seat for black people.A white man wanted Rosa's seat, but she refused.
Black people stopped taking the buses.
The bus company and the city were angry. The police arrested Martin Luther King.
Black people didn't use the bus for more than a year. Finally, the Supreme Court decided that segregated buses were illegal. On 21 December, 1956, black people started taking the buses again, because they didn't have to sit in the back of the bus anymore
