Sagot :
I am going to talk about the notion of myths and heroes. First of all I would like to give a quick definition of this notion. A Myth is an old story, popular or a folklore which is about extraordinary events and portrays courageous heroes. A Hero is an idealized person because he has a lot of qualities and who has performed heroic acts so he regarded as model.
Why myths and heroes are always on the current events? (pas de "the" au pluriel)
The identity of a nation is forged thanks to myths dating back to ancient times. Know these myths help us to understand our present. These myths are supported by the floor or in books. For example, Sherlock Holmes is a famous private detective which was created by Arthur Conan Doyle and which was resumed by Anthony Herowitz. What was that a best seller became in some years a world myth. Since several generations, everybody knows the famous detective with her retort « Elementary my dear Watson ». But the most original in this myth, it is the fact of a good part of the public in the reality of the person. Many people believed and still believes that Sherlock Holmes existed. This character will see being adapted to the cinema of one thousand nine hundred in the latest one two thousand fifteen.
However, are not only the myth's which forge a nation. Heroes, real people changed the history of their country and became models all over the world. As for example, Prince Albert or The King George VI who not only, will surmount its shyness and its stammering to pronounce a speech which will commit his country in the World War II, but also is going to challenge the Nazi bombs by not leaving London during its bombardment. He's the man saved the British Monarchy. His story will make the adaptation of a very big bestseller of Mark Logue and Peter Conradi but also very famous film adaptations as that of Tom Hooper. But also, Rosa Parks or Martin Luther King which fight in favour of the rights of black people: Luther King with his speech « I have a dream ».
There are a lot of fictional heroes in literature and this influences many people. They make us dream. These heroes that I mention have been interpreted in different forms. We find them today on television, on BD alongside the greatest super heroes. For example, Batman, Spiderman, Superman, IronMan etc. They are the most significant heroes. They wear masks and capes and they want to fight against the real crime. (se battre contre le crime)
