d. Treasure's mother doesn't want something bad to happen to her child: she knows the dangers of an evening late, especially for naĂŻve people like children. Even though she doesn't want her child to come home late, she agrees to let him stay until midnight if and only if she can drive him home.
e. Treasure is totally opposed to that idea and preffers thinking his mother is unfair and has a huge lack of confidence in him rather than trying to understand why his mother is reluctant.
