The New Orléans is the capital of Louisane.There are three municipalies, two are French-speaking and one anglophone.
The first municipality consists of the Old historic square and the districts of Tremé, Fontainebleau, Audubon and the Bayou Saint Jean. It is a French-speaking municipality populated since the colonization of French Louisiana.
The second municipality is situated upstream to the Mississippi River. It is akin to the first one and welcomes the English-speaking American immigrants come besides from the United States. Mainly Protestant, the municipality is going to receive numerous catholic Irish people in particular with the implementation of catholic church services in English language.
The third municipality is situated downstream to the Mississippi River. It is akin to the first municipality.
