O/hen Arthur

knights

warrior knight Pellinore was Arthur's greatest enemy. When Pellinore
(kill) one of Arthur's most loyal knights. Arthur
(decide) to fight him. He
(ride) his horse out
to meet Pellinore, his sword in hand. Arthur was not an experienced
Tighter and he soon (fall). He lay on the ground badly hurt,
his sword was broken. As Pellinore (lift) his sword to kill
the young king, Merlin
(appear). He quickly
(put) Pellinore into a deep sleep. Merlin did nor have the
power to cure Arthur. So he
(take) Arthur into the forest
to see an old hermit. The hermit (use) herbs, leaves and
plants to make magical medicine. “Can you help him?"
(ask) Merlin. “I am a powerful magician, but I cannot save him. He is
Arthur, King of Britain, and the country needs him"
