The trip organizer advised me to change my money before I left as they wouldn't use my currency in the country I'm going to. He also told me not to be rude to the host family, since they would be the ones taking me into their home. Since where I'm going is cold, he advised me to take warm clothes with me. Since they stop check-ins an hour and a half before the flight, he told me to not be late when going to the airport. And finally he told me to phone the host family a few days before my stay so they'd know I'm coming
