In American, it is considered, that all citizens have equal opportunities. It is assumed that hard work pays off. If you follow by the rules you can work your way up the ladder. However, in other countries such as France and Germany, they feel that it is out of their control.
Many want to go to America to live their dream. To be able to succeed whether it be in business, music or culturally. People believe that America will let they be prosperous if they are hard worker. People think that by going to America they will be able to access their dream.
It is the "American Dream" because for generations people have been immigrating to America to escape hardships in their own country. America is made from a melting pot of people who have had many difficult experience in their lives.
