I opened the door and there were three animals asleep on the floor and three others hanging from the ceiling. I was surprised and shocked. I had never seen anything like that. There was a tall man in the room and he was skinning a rabbit. The three animals were hunting dogs and they were licking the floor where the blood was dripping. In the other room, the mother looked up but was busy helping her son finish his supper. The old man stirred as the dogs were starting to bark. I became frightened as the tall man began pointing his knife at me. There was no one to help me. I turned and ran out of the house into the dark of night. There was suddenly a no one but me.
