It's me, (nom).
It's been such a long time since the last time I wrote to you. How are you? Me not too well. We all know that I've joined the army 2 months ago and I've been put to war. As you may have heard, it is not too comfortable around here.
Yesterday, all we have was some bread and canned meat. There were rats running every where, dead bodies just laying around next to us. Our shelter is seriously stinking because of the dead bodies's smells. I was shocked to be honest. I didn't think it would be this bad. I was blinded by the wage they offered and I regret it deeply.
I was wounded the other night, on my left ankle, someone must have shoot me there during the battle. And there wasn't one single medic who was not too occupied to help me. I think it must have been infected, now it is stinging so badly and I can only hope for a miracle.
So that's it for today. I hope this is not the last letter I'll ever write to you. How is it back home? Are you guys well?
