--> Rosa Parks of African American origin was born on February 4, 1913 in Tuskegee, Alabama. When her parents divorced, she moved to Montgomery, where she faced segregation and laws from a young age. But she managed to develop a sense of equality among the races. As an adult, Rosa married a man and as well as being absorbed in her fights for equality, Rosa had various jobs and extensive education. She attended Alabama State University and later held jobs as a housekeeper, seamstress and secretary. Rosa Parks became famous on December 1, 1955, in Montgomery (Alabama ) in refusing to give up her seat to a white passenger on the bus. Arrested by the police , she fined but a young unknown black pastor, Martin Luther King, then launched a campaign of protest and boycott against the bus company. On 13 November 1956, the Supreme Court breaks the segregation laws in the bus, declaring unconstitutional. Rosa Parks fought against racial segregation with Martin Luther King. Moreover , this woman became a symbol of the struggle against racial segregation in the United States , which earned him the nickname of the mother of the civil rights movement from the US Congress.
After the incident on the bus Rosa was continually threatened and harassed ; however, she would not give up her efforts towards equality.
Towards the end of her life, she received numerous awards and recognitions for his contributions.
Rosa died peacefully on October 24th, 2005 , at the age of 92.
