GreenPeace is a a non-governmental organization, which wants to protect the environment.
Greepeace was created in 1971. At first, its members wanted to stop nuclear tests.
Some achievements :
- For more than 30 years , this organization has saved thousands of whales.
- Since 1996, it has managed to ban nuclear testing all around the world.
- Since its creation , Greenpeace activists have managed to fight against tillegal deforestation and they have created laws to protect exotic wood.
- It has organized campaigns to create a sustainable agriculture in many South American countries since 2008.
