Sagot :
A myth can be defined as a story of gods or heroes, it can be a popular belief or tradition or a false notion . A hero can be a mythological figure , a person who is admired for his achievements, a superhero or perhaps a role model or icon . What makes someone a hero and a myth ? First I 'll talk about Martin Luther King and then Mount Rushmore.

First I’ll talk about Martin Luther King and then Mount Rushmore. (attention quand tu écris au passé, il faut continuer au passé) The first character I studied Martin Luther King, an African-American pastor. It was a non- violent activist against racial segregation and peace. It was supported by John Kennedy in his fight and he became the youngest winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964 for his fight against racial segregation in the United States. He gave a famous speech on August 28, 1963:(sois sûr de te rappeler de la date!!) “I Have a Dream”’. All his exploits (personnellement j’aurais dit *All his extraordinary achievements) led to a myth. He was murdered but he became a national and then an international hero who defended the black people’s rights until his last breath and he left behind a great deal of civil rights for African-American community.
Mount Rushmore is a monumental granite sculpture is inside the presidential memorial in the United States that traces 150 years of history. The characters are curved in high relief and represent four of the most significant presidents in American history namely: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. These four presidents are celebrated as heroes by many Americans. Indeed these presidents carried out actions that changed history such as the abolition of slavery by Abraham Lincoln.
Lincoln becomes a hero through his brilliant presidency, and thus was mystified by US nationals, but anyone can become a myth as long as his achievements are recognized in time (je ne comprends pas??). Anyone can be a hero or a myth. Finally Heroes and myths are the most recognized to have achieved a feat to save others. Therefore Martin Luther King and Mount Rushmore’s presidents are living and material evidence.
