Comme j'avais soif, nous avons remonté le pâté de maisons jusqu'à un petit restaurant, où elle a demandé si elle pouvait avoir une tasse d'eau pour son fils. L'homme a répondu qu' il ne pouvait pas nous aider

Déterminants possessifs et pronoms :

Au discours indirect, l'ordre des mots change

Le point d'interrogation disparait ( enfin, n'est pas utilisé. Le fait que ce soit une question est sous entendu par le "if"( si ) et par le verbe introducteur 'elle a demandé' )
