Pb : Is the modern society tolerant ?
The modern society differs from the others. Indeed, our world has changed a lot. We could think about our progress which helped us a lot economically, politically or ecologically. We could also think about medicine or new technologies.
So we can ask ourselves : is the modern society tolerant?
First, I will talk about the positive aspects of the modern society. Then, I will discuss about its limits.
Nowadays, our modern world has evolved. We can take for example, the woman's right. Indeed, not so long ago they couldn't vote. We can say that it is a big step for them.
There are also the difference of ethnic groups. A few years before, black people were really rejected, mainly due to their skin color. In what ways are they different from others? It took a lot of time to "free" them. Now, they can act and move as they want. Event the president of the United States is black, which is a huge change for american people.
However, we said that black people are now accepted in society. But are they in reality? Even if they have "rights", it doesn't change the way of certain people think. Some of them still persuade they are not human, like us. That they are an under race.
As well as the woman, there are still differences between them and man. How can a man has a more important salary than a woman, even if they do the same work. We still don't have good reason for that.
To conclude, our modern society is tolerant but it still remains some changes to be done so that we can truly say : modern society is tolerant (with everyone).
C'est légèrement plus long que 250 mots. Je n'ai pas pu développer d'autres points, sinon j'allais vraiment dépasser le quotas. J'aurai effectivement pu parler des handicapés ou de certaines faunes persécutés...
