As you know, New york is called "The Big Apple". They're many stories about this nickname.
It' situated on one of the largest natural harbor. New York consists in five borroughs : the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and Manhattan
New York isn't the Capital of the United States but it's the biggest city and the most important one over the american continent.
It also is the most densely populated city.
Wall Street is the largest stock exchange (bourse ) in the world
New York city is a town which never sleeps.
It's got the largest urban park : Central Park.
If you travel to New York, you must visist Chinatown which has the most important chinese population in the States , Little Italy and all those places . Of course,they are in the tourist guides,but try to get lost in there to appreciate how do the people live.. You will feel the real spirit of one of the most cosmopolitan US town.
Of course, you must go to Staten Island to see the Statue of Liberty, the most famous statue of New York.
You must go to Times Square and Broadway to see one of these musical comedies. They often have shows on Sunday afternoon , so if you're lucky enough you might have the opportunity to watch one of them.
Time Square, quite famous for it's huge brightly iluminated billboards (panneaux publicitaires) is one of the world's busiest pedestrian intersections.
You mustn't be afraid of taking the subway. It's not dangerous, no more than in any other city and by the way, it's the New York City Subway is one of the most extensive metro systems worldwide
Some people say New York is one of the most photographed city of the world , so you mustn't forget your camera !
It also has among the highest level universities as Rockfeller University, New York University and Columbia University.
