Sagot :
bonjour !
In the fifties, Blacks and Whites had separated sections on buses.
On december first, 19555, in Montgomery(Alabama) Rosa Parks became famous when she refused to obey the bus driver and give her seat to a white passenger after her day's work. In fact, the rules were quite simple : Black people had to pay their fare. They were meant to get up if a white man wanted a seat and go to the back of the bus.And if no seats were available, they just had to leave the bus. But that time she refused . The police arrested her four days later and she had a fine to pay of 15 dollars
Rosa Park appealed against the judgement. Two men, Ralph Abernaty, leader of the African-American civil right began a campaign of protestations and of boycoting the bus company with a young unkown pastor whose name was Martin Luther-King.
A year later, the Supreme Court ended the segregation laws in buses. It was claimed unconstitutional.
Then, Rosa Park dedicated her whole life to fight against racial segregation as did Martin Luther-King. She died in october 2005
bonne soirée
