Sagot :
Hi, my name is Nikita Aikido, and I'm currently applying for the NCAA (National
College Athletic Association) student-athlete program, first of all I want to
thank the NCAA Committee for giving me a chance to apply for this, because this
is a great opportunity to show everyone what I'm capable of, while developing
different skills that I have. Let me talk about me and what I've done over the
last years, in my early years I was a very pro-active person, sports and arts
are my passions as you can tell by both my physical appearance and interests, I
played the clarinet for my high school band at Martin Luther King High, as time
went by, rugby started to be the most popular sport in school, so I thought
"I have to try this new sport!", we went to the semi-finals that same
year for our regionals, 4 months later our school wanted to raise funds for our
veterans with the help of our cheerleader team, this was a perfect opportunity
to help my lovely community, so I decided to step in and join the cheerleader
team the next day, we achieved our goal!, and our teachers decided to give us
as a form of compensation a full language course in both French and Japanese,
me being Asian-American with no hesitation said yes, learning new things is
something I enjoy so much, especially those of my culture. Accepting the course
helped me with my grades, and this boosted my GPA up to a score of 3.0, one of
the highest in my school, this made me a Honor Roll student in Martin Luther
King High. With everything about school resolved, I decided to work in a
shelter that rescues dogs in the Miami Dade area, while working a part-time job
at Burger King as a side thing. Why should the NCAA be interested in me you
might ask, well, with all the free time I had in my teen years, I played a lot
of American football, I became a really good player so I decided to make this
my full time sport, I've played for over 10 years now but sadly never went to a
college summer camp due to my dedication to studying, I would love to show my
skills in the field for the Orlando Technical College here in Florida, because I
think I have what it requires in order to be both a great student and a great
player. Thank you for your attention.
