- Introduction
I am going to talk about the notion of space and exchanges.
First of all, im going to give the definition of this notion who deals with the idea of giving and receiving something else in return (- exchange) and also with the places (- space) where these exchanges happen. So, this notion concerns the geographical and symbolic places that all society occupy and the interaction between the people. .
I would like to illustrate this notion through the global city of London.
A global city is a city having a strategic position in many domains, mainly political, economic and cultural at a wrld level and estabishing a dynamic network of communications. Global cities like London are the leaders in the world on the international market.
Thus, we can wonder what Makes London a Global City ?
At first, i'm going to talk about the place ad the influence of London in the world.
Secondly, i'm going to explain why london is considered as the france's sixth biggest city

To begin, during this year, the first document we worked on is the global cities index results.
Thanks to this document, we have learn that, for the first time since A.T KEARNEY's first Global cities in 2008, London has overtaken New-York to claim this year's top spot. London's score has steadily improved since 2008 and reduced New York's lead.
This year, London performed better in two of the 5 dimensions : cultural exchages and business activity. London has also seen noticeable improvement in information exchange
.The improvements and the growth of London s has brought a wealth of cultural, lingustic and ethnic diversity, helping to enrich everyday life and open new possibilities of exchange.
Finnaly, we have studied a document written online by a journalist of BBC News in 2012 entitled « London, France's 6th biggest city »
The number of French nationals now living in London makes it France's sixth biggest city in terms of population, according to the latest estimates.

In my opinion, I think that to make the world a better place, global cities have to exist. For it is these cities that connect the whole world and take worldwide decisions.
But we can ask one question, are global cities really sustainable?
