Hello! I have to return my file for the BAC on the notion Myth & Hero, I have to hold 10 minutes. Could you correct my mistakes and tell me if it is enough to maintain the time please? Thanks!

I am going to talk about the notion Myth & Hero. Firstly, I will define the terms of the notion. A hero is someone who can inspire us for his brave actions and a myth, is simply a fictive story, a legend. I decided to focus on the hero and I will ask if it is useful for society to have heroes ? To answer at this problematic, I will evocated through different documents saw in class, three categories of heroes : heroes who are famous for standing up against devil like Batman, Superman, Captain America etc... We called their Superheroes. Also, people who dress like superheroes and try to imitate them by saving and protect people. Finally, the heroes who are real-life persons who were outlaws to rebel against a given order they refused and to challenge it like Rosa Parks or Nelson Mandela similarly people who makes themselves and go from the rags to riches like Ophra Winfrey, Eminem or Martin Luther King.

To illustrated superheroes, we have seen in class an extract of the Marvel movie's Black Panther, it is a film which denounces racism and inequalities. Even if the idea of superheroes sounds cliche, Marvel movies conveys important messages, they can raise issues when it rebukes the bad example in order to deter us from repeating the same mistakes. By this principle, movies of superheroes are very influential and at the same time educates children who are the first target by imitating their favorite hero. Superheroes by their action make people in admiration and some of them wants to be superheroes in real life and do it!
Some people dare become superheroes in the real life. In class we saw a video of a news which talk about the real-life superheroes movement. It allows us to learn how this movement gaining momentum also that people who are belongs of the movement have in day a job and become at night superheroes, they conceal their identity with a costume suitable. Unfortunately, they don't have superpowers but by their union and their action, they seem to be real superheroes who pledge to do good. Some of them testify, one defining the real-life superhero movement like a movement of people who care to go out and make a difference and another talk about his perplexity that he had at first, he says that he was curious about the movement, that he learned a lot about them and he thoughts that it was an unorthodox way of doing good in the world. A civil testify that she often sees superheroes on the streets of New York on an ordinary evening, it seems to sound normal for her. After the video, we saw a text from a british newspaper called The Guarding, we learn that it is a ellectic movement mean that the members come from different social background that is to say that the movement is a real social mix. Moreover, we learn more about their inspiration which is the myth of the super hero comic and their motivations, one of the most important is to fight apathy. They are mocked because people don't take them seriously and by the way, the policemen have mixed feelings either the police thank them or ask them to stop the masquerade because by doing this, they put their life in danger. There are, however, some persons become heroes to go from rags to riches.
They don't need to wear costumes to be heroes. We work on an extract of the film which is based on a true story "Freedom Writers". We drew by the speech of a old woman that the real heroes are those who face tough life but they never give up whatever the circumstances and we have take to example Ophra Winfrey who went through many hardships like poverty and violence but she became the most influencial American woman by force of personality. We can say that she go the rags to riches, it refers to any situation in which a person rises from poverty to wealth or from obscurity to fame. This is a common archetype in the American literature and popular culture.

All things considered, I totally agree with the idea that is useful for society to have heroes because in certain circonstances, they can save, protect people with their heroic actions, they feel entrusted with the mission to watch people and they inspire freedom. Or, it can be a hero for people just by their image, they can make people dreaming by their career and make them believe that everything is possible, that everybody can go to the rags to riches and touch other people by their life story. No matter what type of heroes they are, they all do courageous things, they fight for something or they want to serve others. They represent a role model and an ideal man for people and nobody can blame their behavior because they changed the history.
