Jack used every bit of courage he had and asked Julia out on a date. He even brought the love song he had written in his notebook to impress her. She rejected him! And now, she tries to stifle her laughter with her hand as he walks away. Her friend joins in making fun of Jack by making the "L" sign for "loser" with her fingers. Jack walks away feeling dejected, the laughter fading behind him.
