-i think that the statue of the liberty for the immigrants symbolized and represent the freedom,they show him that if the came in nyc ,they can start over and get a new life for will have a better future and they probably will have a lot of oppportunities,because there,the education is the best.

- the immigrants came in nyc in awful conditions,the decide to moove beacause they had an awful life ,probably because there is a war in their country.but sombody don't want that immigrante come in their country:the usa,because they say that if a lot of immigrants come here ,nyc will be overcrowded

-on ne peux pas t'aider car on ne sait pas de quoi parl la question

-the americans are probably afraid of a contamination because they they think that the immigrants are certainly sick and it can be cantagious.and they don't want to spend a lot of money for be cured ,so they suggest to separate immigrants and real americans and they also said that immigrants have to get a treatment

-  as soon as the immigrants arrive in amrecicans' land,the americans were hungry and they were hurried along to the new arrivants ,the immigrants were treated like they were cattle,and i think that immigrants don't need to be shouted at.

-to my mind,i can understand why immigrants come in nyc,but i don't agree withe people  who reject immigrants.
