Sagot :
For our project, we have had several ideas (soap, dyes etc.), but after some thought (refelction) we have decided to work on the insulators.
Our problem (issue) is that: << Can we isolate a house with materials other than those already known ?>> [ or, Can we isolate a house from unknown materials. ]
To address this problem (issue), first we conducted research on the insulation standards in order to know the regulations (rules, laws, guidelines) in the field of thermal substances (materials) and on materials commonly (presently) used. This research has allowed us to think about the different experiments to (manage , conduct) perform.
In order to perform out first experiment, we have made (fabricated, built) one wooden box with one face in plexiglass, which (that) allows us to observe (see) and analyse the different reactions. The closed (sealed) box prevents air from entering it and hence, the changes in temperature (inside).
Next, we have placed, inside the box, a mosquito net (structure) of width about 15 cm, onto which we slip the different materials under study.
On each side of that mosquito net, a thermometer is placed to measure the termperature difference and the insulating power of the test material. On one side of the structure two small fans, which we manufactured (made, built), have been installed. In front of the fans, there is a plate on which ice cubes are placed. This (installation) set up is intended to cool the atmospheric temperature. [ Or, The aim of this set up is to cool the atmospheric temperature. ] We have tested this set up initially with hay and then with dead leaves. We have been able to (state, prove) show that .....
In the second experiment, we have performed another experiment with the same materials, for measuring the insulation of sound. We have replaced the temperature sensors, the fans and the ice cubes by the sonometer (sound level meters). They are installed (set up) on each side of the insulator in order to measure the decibel levels. We have been able to prove (show) that....
