In the USA, the "breakfast" is our "petit déjeuner".In north America and in the South East, people don't eat the same.
In the north, people eat bacon with eggs, waffles, pancakes with fruits or muffins.
In the South, people eat toast with peanut butter, jam, etc.
Our "déjeuner" is called lunch. For the lunch, people don't eat with their family : children and teens rather eat at friends or in cafeterias.
Adults eat in fastfood restaurants, fish & chips, etc. The lunch is rather simple.
The dinner is a meal in which people can meet their family or friends ans talk about their day. People eat simple meals like stew, salad, soup, etc.
