Water pollution refers to the contamination of rivers, lakes and seas by fertilizers,
pesticides, sewage, and oil/toxic waste from ships and factories. Therefore the
water pollution is caused by human activities. At our level in our daily life we can
save water in using it wisely. We should not keep the tap running when not in
use. Also, we can reduce the amount of water we use in washing and bathing. If
we all do this, we can significantly prevent water shortages and reduce the
amount of dirty water that needs treatment. We are responsible for saving
water. But for economical purposes the
industries etc. want first make money and do not care so much about Mother
Nature.
