For check Frisco has an option would be to stop the 66 to Kingman, Arizona and back to Las Vegas, the Hoover Dam through. One night in Vegas to see ca ... and departure towards the valley of death.
Next step on the other side to Lake Isabella in California. The next day the road to Frisco through Sequoia National Park.
I give because ca ca memory as I did in '95 .... an alternative is to continue north after Vegas to Yosemite and get back to Frisco to the north.
If not arrive to LA and back to Frisco by Highway 1, which is superb along the sea, also in the sense Frisco / LA during my road trip in two days with 95 stop at a campsite in San Luis Obispo.
