Lacrosse is believed to have started with the native American Indians. It is a contact game played between two teams. The game is played using a Lacrosse stick which is a pole with a wide head on the end; like a net. This is used to catch the small leather ball. The objective is to throw the ball into the opposition's goal to score points. It is quite an aggressive sport with hits to the other person's stick and across the legs. One runs with the head of the stick in front of the face for protection. It's a very fast game and played extensively in USA, North America and in Britain.
